A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR PRAYER

Every First Friday, we will have Evening Prayer of the Church at 6:15PM in English led by our Deacon candidates and their wives. This ancient form of prayer for the Church and the world began with the Benedictines in the 4th century and continues today as a constant prayer for the needs of the world. There will be an opening hymn, recitation of the Psalms and Canticle for the day, a brief reading and reflection, intercessory prayer, the Lord’s Prayer, and closing with a hymn and prayer for our Blessed Mother and a sending prayer. This beautiful meditative gift to you and your loved ones will last approximately 20 minutes but bring you closer to the Lord for a lifetime.

We will offer Evening Prayer of the Church every Wednesday at 6:15PM beginning July 7 in the church. The service will be led by Deacon Candidates Sergio Velazquez and his wife Eustolia, and Joel Tapia and his wife Alberta for the beautiful service in Spanish. It is a true gift to grow in the Spirit of Christ in the company of sisters and brothers in him. Come and pray.
